O-Rings – The Tiny Hero of Your Tumblers
Share
If you’ve ever unboxed one of our 250ml or 600ml tumbler cups—or our brand-new yard glasses—you might have noticed a little rubber ring on the straw. You might have even wondered, “What’s this for?” Well, that tiny piece of rubber, known as an O-ring, plays a big role in making your tumblers even more convenient and functional!
What Does the O-Ring Do?
The O-ring fits onto the straw from the inside of the tumbler lid. Once in place, it prevents the straw from slipping out. This simple but effective design feature ensures:
-
No More Lost Straws – Without the O-ring, your straw might slide right out when you tip the cup or pull on it.
-
Kid-Friendly Convenience – Little hands tend to tug on straws, and the O-ring helps keep them securely in place.
-
Less Mess, More Sipping – Whether you’re on the go or just enjoying a drink at home, the O-ring helps keep your straw right where it should be.
How to Use It
If your tumbler or yard glass straw comes with an O-ring, here’s how to make sure it’s properly in place:
-
Slide the O-ring onto the straw, positioning it a little below where the straw meets the lid.
-
Insert the straw through the tumbler lid’s opening from the bottom.
-
The O-ring should be below the underside of the lid, preventing the straw from slipping out.
A Small Detail That Makes a Big Difference
Sometimes, the little things make all the difference. O-rings are one of those subtle but essential features that enhance the everyday use of your tumblers. So, the next time you take a sip from your For Craft's Sake tumbler, you’ll know that the O-ring is quietly doing its job—keeping your straw exactly where it belongs.
